Precious Lord ~ Precious Grandma...

Dear God~Eleven years ago today, my precious Grandma Genny went Home to be with You! I love her dearly.  I miss her daily.  And yet, I know she is in a place of no more pain, illness or struggles.  Ten months ago, my precious Uncle Jimmy went Home to be with You, too.  I know that Grandma Genny was there to hug her son with much love and excitement!  Knowing they are together there, along with so many other loved ones, gives me tremendous joy!

"Precious Lord" was one of the songs Grandma Genny loved so much.  I can hear her singing it to You while she lived here.  I can only imagine how wonderful it was for her to finally be in Your eternal Presence.  Through all her illness and struggles of life, her faith never weakened.  She held Your hand each moment.  Her love for You overflowed into her love for everyone she met.  It was evident she spent each day holding onto You...faithfully. I miss her laughter, our many talks, sharing secrets, our trips up and down the mountains and valleys of Virginia, her wonderful cooking and her love for music (she sang and played piano)!  Grandma was full of joy, kindness, hope, strength and peace...no matter what happened.  She continually held onto her Precious Lord! 

I have learned so much from her. When life is overwhelming & exhausting, please help me focus on You, Your plan & Your strength.  May I live my life as lovingly and faithfully as my precious Grandma Genny did. Her life was all about You!♥~thl
