Not only is this song one of my favorite "Christmas songs," it is one of my top five favorite songs...ever. I truly believe that if we live our lives seeking peace in Him, peace with others and peace within ourselves, this world would be very different.
John 14: 27 says "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
Honestly, with all that has happened in our lives recently, it is very tough to not be troubled or afraid. But...I truly believe that when we surround ourselves with His love, purpose, peace and hope, it may not change the circumstances, but it changes us!
The Christmas season is here. It's a time of celebration...and sometimes frustration with all the demands and expectations. But...it is my personal goal to offer a time of praise and gratitude to God for the Prince of Peace...and to let peace begin with me...in every situation I face. Hopefully my peace in Him will help me share more peace here on Earth. May my life be more about peace and praise to Him above all else! ♥~thl
