Today I thank God for this season! Recently Rachel and I were discussing life and I said to her, "This is a season, not a sentence!" The words weren't profound. I had never heard them spoken before. They seemed to encourage her and I didn't think much about it until later.
I admit I have often wondered what God's purpose is for this season in my life. Sometimes it actually feels like a "sentence" I must endure after all that has happened recently. But I now realize where those words came from the day I shared them with Rachel. I truly believe God was teaching and encouraging me with a new lesson, also.
I may not understand this season...but God does. I may not see its purpose...but God does. It may not be my favorite season..but God finds it useful so it is essential. God loves me enough to use this time for His glory...and that makes all the difference! I choose to rest in His arms, rely on His promises and realize that indeed, this is a season...not a sentence! Thank You, God, for every season that brings me closer to You. ♥~thl
