"Who? Me? Seriously? Well, bless your heart. Thanks so much...but not me!"
I spoke those words this week to a very dear person in my life. They paid me a high compliment...from the bottom of their heart. But I had to respond in love...and truth.
Guess what they said? Hold on...brace yourself...and don't laugh...well, don't laugh too much. They said they thought I "have it all together." (Awww...so sweet...but soooooooo not true.)
Then I began thinking. No...I certainly do not have it all together. Not even close! But...God is holding me together...and that makes all the difference!
No...I don't have answers for everything that happens. No, I certainly do not understand what...when...where...or how...it will all work out in this life. However, I definitely know Who cares for me...when I struggle, fall, hurt, mess up, break down or walk away. He holds me close...loves me anyway...heals my brokenness...listens to my many questions...and then waits...until I am willing to listen...wait...surrender...and trust Him. It's a continual process. But He never gives up...and never lets me down.
No..I don't have it all together....but He holds me together. And together, He will lead me Home.<3~thl
