Yesterday was just "one of those days" that seemed to bring one challenge after another. No matter where I went or what I did, I just couldn't seem to accomplish anything easily or effectively. Those who know me best know that I am usually a list-making, multi-tasking, get it done right the first time, kind of person. But not yesterday. Actually, it's been that way for many yesterdays, especi...
ally recently.
Then I began thinking about other people whose lives didn't go quite the direction they expected, either. I think about a young woman who followed God...and whose life was never the same again. I think about her husband who accepted God's plan to care for her and their precious Son...unlike any parents had ever known before. I think about their travels, the response of their community, the uncertainties, the lack of understanding...and their faith. No matter what they faced, they held onto God...His purpose, His provision, His protection and His plan. I am sure their days...weeks...months...years were not easy...physically, emotionally, socially or cognitively. But they trusted Him...completely.
Dear God, may I trust You in the tough times as well as in the better times. May I focus on You most during this journey. I may not understand it...but I know You are there. May each day be spent honoring You...above all else. ♥~thl
