Following the Star...

I saw them! I saw several meteors falling tonight and it was a beautiful sight! I stood on the deck with a blanket wrapped around me and talked to God as I watched the brilliant lights shining above...the beautiful stars...and meteors racing across the sky. What an experience!

I couldn't help but think about the sight of that glorious star seen many years ago...and what those who witnessed its
brilliance felt when they knew it was leading them to the Presence of a King....The King! He would also be called the "Bright and Morning Star" and the "Day Star." That had to be an incredible experience!

As I stood on the deck watching for the meteor shower, I noticed how much brighter the sky looked and how much easier it was to see around me. Again, I thought about the brilliant star that was not only seen so gloriously that wonderful night...but how it led others to Him!

John Hagee said "Just because you don’t see a way doesn’t mean God doesn’t have a way." I am sure that as others followed that star many years ago, they had to keep their main focus on the star...above all else. Otherwise, they would not find their way to the One whom they sought. They didn't have an address....or a GPS on their cell phones. They didn't know the street names and they couldn't consult Mapquest on their computers. They didn't know the way...without following the star!

Isn't that how we must find our way now? We really don't know what lies ahead. We don't know what tomorrow has in store. We don't know how to deal with all we face on this journey. But we do know that God is with us, guiding us each moment with His loving arms around us. He knows the way....for us...far better than we know ourselves. I thank God for directing my path each day in so many ways! I may not know what lies ahead...but as long as I am following The Star....The One Who lights the way for me each moment...I know am never alone, always loved....and will someday see Him...face to face. ♥~thl
