I never imagined....that my life would turn out like this! I never imagined...that I would ever leave the Virginia mountains...that I would be accepted into various colleges and graduate from a private Christian college in eastern Kentucky with multiple degrees. I never imagined...I would meet a wonderful man from Ohio whom I would later marry...that I would become a minister's wife...that we would live in Kentucky the entire time (so far), and that we would have two precious children who would change our lives forever. I never imagined...the precious friends and "new family" we would meet on this journey. I never imagined...the love, excitement, lessons, opportunities, joys, challenges, losses, heartaches and pain we would endure. I never imagined...
I am sure many people feel the same way. Most of our lives have resulted in unexpected blessings and burdens...which influenced us in ways we never imagined.
John Hagee said..."You cannot have a problem that surprises God. God has a plan specifically for your life and it is a triumphant one!" I am amazed when I realize that He has known all along what would happen...and how He would bring victory into our story through it all!
Jeremiah 29: 11 > 13 says: "11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
As God worked through so many "ordinary people" to do extraordinary works in their lives, I realize they probably didn't imagine what was ahead for them, either! The Message of Christmas is living proof that we cannot imagine...but He can! Thank You, God, for your amazing plan and purpose You bring into our lives....as only You can imagine! ♥~thl
