I wonder...how did Jesus feel just before the moment He was placed in Mary's body as a baby? Knowing He was coming to this world to love...which would lead to death? I can't imagine His thoughts, feelings and knowledge. He knew He would be rejected, scorned and eventually killed...all because He loves us.
I know that I love my husband and children so much that I would give my life for them in a... heartbeat. No questions asked. But for people who would reject me? Scorn me? Plan my death? I don't think so.
That is love...amazing, incredible, selfless, ultimate sacrificing love. I pray that as we celebrate His birth, we remember His life...His death...and His love.
Hopefully, that love will change how we live...and love...forever. ♥~thl
