I thought...You taught...

Dear God~I thought...
life would be different...
I would always live in the mountains...
I would never be able to attend college...
I would be a career woman...
my dream as a wife and mother wouldn't happen...
I would always be strong...
my purpose would be more obvious...
loved ones wouldn't pass away so soon...
friends would remain faithful...
life would be fair...
goals would be accomplished more rapidly.

You taught me that...
my life belongs to You...
where You lead, I follow..
Your plans exceed my own...
You know the depths of my heart...
You specialize in the impossible...
leaning on You is a way of life...
You will direct my path and purpose...
there is hope of seeing loved ones again...
You are always faithful...
trusting in You exceeds my understanding...
my past, present and future are in Your hands.
